2 LITTLE LIGHTS URBAN MINISTRIES WINTER 2012 SUMMER LIGHTS: TEEN HIGHLIGHTS A record 25 teens and young adults worked for Little Lights this summer as part of our Teen Internship Program! They received training to work with younger students, helped run Summer Lights Camp in July, and participated in other trainings such as Anger Responsibility and resume writing. They also had a lot of fun spending time with each other, the staff, and the kids. Well let them tell you more about what they learned and liked (or didnt like!) this summer. SUMMER WATER BALLOON GAME AT THE UNITS SUMMER LIGHTS: OUR EXPERIENCE My experience has been good. I like working for Little Lights in the summer. I would like to work here again. I like working with Ms. Linda and the kids. Only thing I dislike is that it be hot outside and sometimes at my site. -Jarvis Legion My experience at Little Lights is fun. My likes at Little Lights are the praises in the morning. I like playing with the kids. I like the staff and the interns. My expectation was to play with the kids, get to know the staff and other interns and have fun, also. -Deneen Phillips I like how I have this bond between me and the kids and how we talk or they tell me about any and everything. I like how they tell me their little stories or what goes on around the neighborhood. I just find them very interesting. I just like coming to work because these children really make my day. - Leslie Rowe
